​Dr. Charles F. Knapp is a dual board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist who enjoys treating patients of all ages, and incorporates all aspects of dermatology into his practice, including medical dermatology, skin cancer detection, and Mohs surgery.  He has received numerous academic honors and awards, including the prestigious Physician-In-Training award from the American Society of Dermatopathology, and was nominated by his peers for the Excellence in Dermatopathology award by the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.  He has been extensively published in a number of peer-reviewed academic journals and has presented several of his papers at national meetings.  Dr. Knapp is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (F.A.A.D.), Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery (F.A.S.M.S.), and active member of multiple professional organizations, including the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Knapp was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  He graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in Health Science Education.  Dr. Knapp then received his medical degree from the University of South Florida in 2009, and continued his training by completing his medical internship and dermatology residency at USF.  He went on to receive additional training during his fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Dr. Knapp is licensed to practice medicine in both Florida and Alabama.

Dr. Knapp is dedicated to community service and has volunteered at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Boggy Creek Camp, Children's Cancer Center, and Shriners' Hospital for Children.  Dr. Knapp also currently serves as Volunteer Faculty at the University of South Florida Department of Dermatology, where he teaches dermatology and dermatopathology to current medical students and residents.  Outside of medicine, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, kayaking, and spending time with his wife and two children.
